East Knox shows grit in narrow 38 34 loss to Northmor

0Comments

A determined East Knox varsity forced a tight finish on the road Tuesday, but Northmor escaped with a 38‑34 win in Knox‑Morrow Conference action.

The game took place Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Northmor High School in Galion, Ohio, as part of the girls basketball 2025‑26 schedule

The Bulldogs weathered a slow 7‑2 first quarter and trailed 14‑9 at halftime, but continued to chip away, matching Northmor’s energy and outscoring the Golden Knights 18‑13 in the final period to close the gap late. Despite Northmor’s early momentum and defensive pressure, East Knox stayed within striking distance throughout, spreading its scoring across all four quarters and tightening up offensively as the game wore on. The Bulldogs’ fourth‑quarter surge showcased their grit, forcing Northmor to hold on down the stretch rather than coast to the finish.

Up next, East Knox is scheduled to travel to Cardington on Dec. 16 to play against Cardington-Lincon Pirates.

The last time Northmor and East Knox met was in December 2024, when Northmor also came out on top with a 45‑39 win earlier that season.
