East Knox Bulldogs fell to Mt. Gilead Indians 63-67 in an away conference boys’ basketball game.
The game took place on Tuesday, January 6, at Mount Gilead High School.
East Knox battled to the final buzzer but came up short in a 67 to 63 road conference loss to Mt. Gilead on Tuesday. The Bulldogs trailed 18 to 16 after the first quarter before falling behind 34 to 28 at halftime. East Knox responded with a strong third quarter, outscoring the Indians 21 to 10 to take a 49 to 44 lead heading into the final period. However, Mt. Gilead rallied with a dominant 23 to 14 fourth quarter to erase the deficit and secure the four-point victory, as the Bulldogs showed resilience and competitive spirit throughout the narrow defeat.
East Knox returns home Friday, Jan. 23, for a 7:15 p.m. conference matchup against Centerburg.
The last time these teams met was on Jan. 7, 2025, when Mount Gilead defeated East Knox 57-49.
